HIRING ANNOUNCEMENTS: 


The East Windsor Township Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. Following are the requirements of the position:


Be a citizen of the United States of America
Be a resident of the State of New Jersey at time of appointment
Be more than 21 and less than 35 years of age at time of appointment
Be sound in body and of good health sufficient to satisfy the Board of Trustees of the Police Recruitment System of New Jersey that such person is eligible to membership in the retirement system
Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
Be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude
Possess a valid New Jersey driver's license


Applicants must possess a Full New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification for Basic Course for Police Officers. A copy of the candidate's Police Training Certificate must accompany each resume/cover letter.

The Bernardsville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer until March 17, 2014. Application packages can be picked up at Bernardsville Police HQ, 166 Minebrook Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924.

Egg Harbor Twp. PD


The Egg Harbor Township Police Department will be conducting an entrance examination on March 26, 2014.

An application package may be downloaded at the Egg Harbor Township Police Department website www.ehtpd.com  starting February 18, 2014.  They must be returned no later than March 19, 2014 by 4:30 p.m.  All prior applications are null and void.

Applicants must be a resident of New Jersey, have an Associate Degree or is currently matriculating at a 4-year college offering a Baccalaureate Degree and has earned 64 academic credits toward a degree.  An applicant may substitute four years of active military service in lieu of the college educational requirements and must be between 21 through 35 years of age.  A $50 non-refundable testing fee (cash or money order only) must be submitted when the application is returned.

Subsequent to written application, candidates will be screened by a written examination, physical fitness indicator test, background investigation, oral interview and psychological examination.  EOE

 


Middlesex PD - Police Officer

Qualifications

  • All applicants must meet the qualifications as specified in N.J.S.A. 40A:14-122.

            In addition, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Applicant must be a resident of the State of New Jersey at the time of appointment.
  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and no more than 35 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • Applicant must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license at the time of appointment.
  • Applicant must have a minimum of 60 college credits at the time of appointment.
  • Applicant must be PTC Certified, successfully pass a medical examination, a thorough personal background check, a psychological examination, a complete drug and alcohol screening and an oral interview.

Old Tappan PD - Police Officer
            

The Borough of Old Tappan Police Department will be accepting registrants for the Police entry level examination to be held on Wednesday February 26, 2014. Interested persons may register and receive the examination study guide beginning Monday, January 27th through Thursday, February 20, 2014.  Qualified applicants are required to be 18-35 years of age, a citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of New Jersey.  Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 60 completed college credits, or have been honorably discharged from active duty from any branch of the United States Military. There is a non-refundable processing fee of One Hundred ($100.00) dollars.  Registrants must provide a resume, a copy of their valid driver’s license, birth certificate, proof of college degree/credits or honorable military discharge.  Registrants must submit all required information in person at Old Tappan Police Headquarters, 21 Russell Avenue, Old Tappan, N.J. 07675 by 2/20/2014.

Town of Dover PD - Police Officer


The Town of Dover Police Department (Morris County) is currently accepting application for position of Police Officer:

The Town of Dover Police Department is a NJDOP (Civil Service) Department. We are currently looking for officers that are listed on the New Jersey Rice list or through the NJ Civil Service Interdepartmental Transfer Program only. Intergovernmental transfers from other civil service departments require the approval of the Chief of Police/Sheriff of the agency in which the officer is currently employed.  Minimally, one year of police experience is required.

Applications from Non PTC Certified Officers will not be accepted.

Evesham Twp. PD - 

The Evesham Township Police Department is recruiting for the position of a crime analyst. We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working individuals for our Police Department.  

The Evesham Township Police Department is an internationally accredited agency whose members take pride in their proactive response to crime, disorder and quality of life issues. This approach recognizes our community's high expectations for professional police services and has sustained a positive relationship with the community for many years. 
 
The Crime Analyst will perform the difficult statistical and analytical research involving the use of computer applications such as New World, Microsoft applications, InfoCop and other Federal, State and Local databases; random statistical samplings, correlation and regression analysis, and probability studies; gathering and analyzing crime data for crime pattern detection, suspect-crime correlations, target-suspect profiles, and crime forecasting; conducting analysis of traffic data and statistical performance data; preparing reports on data and trends for police personnel and commanders; making presentations to police personnel, members of the community, and outside agencies. 
 
Preparing statistical and narrative summaries for reports and presentations to department management; converting numeric data into graphic mode; reviewing statistical documents for completeness and accuracy. The Crime Analyst works with and is responsible for managing the analysis for the agency in conjunction with our Intelligence Led Policing Philosophy, including DDACTS. The Crime Analyst will also perform tasks deemed necessary by the Command Staff and/or the Police Chief. 
 
High school or have formal education or training showing attainment of the level represented by graduation from senior high school with a minimum of sixty (60) college credits from an accredited college. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
